Tentative Travel Plans

My research journey will not technically begin until October 8 when I fly out of New Jersey and land in Yakima, WA. However, today I shared my tentative travel plans with several key team members. They will be either be joining me in WA or most importantly assisting me in my research. There are plenty of open spaces left for them to fill in plans to meet and time for me to explore the landscape.  I know there are so many little details that happen behind the scenes to make any trip run smoothly, but with this one there is an added pressure to make it productive.  No worries, I will be layering my journey with images of the bags, photos of the landscape, and provide you with valuable resources that I come across at the various museums and libraries. Plus, I hope to interview authors and craftsmen. All of these layers will provide a rich background knowledge for my graduate thesis. Working Title: Plateau Bags- Yakima Women  (more to come)
